Yellow Freight Corporation went bankrupt, releasing thousands of 2-axle semi-trucks into the market. For more information on the bankruptcy, click here: Bankruptcy

The majority of these trucks ended up at auction, and their condition for many of these vehicles was exactly what you'd expect from auctioned vehicles. Most appeared to have been poorly maintained, with minimal attention to cosmetics. But that was not the case with every truck in the fleet.

If purchasing a truck blindly at the auction doesn't appeal to you but you're in the market for a quality 2-axle semi-truck, there is another option. Charter Trucks pre-inspected hundreds of Yellow Freight Trucks and handpicked select trucks and put them through the Charter Trucks Refurb Process. Each truck underwent a 102-point inspection, with all identified issues repaired. They were also detailed and cleaned cosmetically. Unlike auctions, which come with no guarantees and considerable risk, Charter Trucks offers the Charter Guarantee and a selection of trucks with different levels of refurbishment. Here is what one of the Yellow Trucks looks like for sale at the Auction:

Charter looked at over 1000 trucks at the auction and only bought 3% of them. That 3% were the ones with no rust from the dry states. If you are thinking about taking your chances at the auction consider the following line items:

Average Freight $3,000

Aluminum wheels $2,000

Bumper $1,000

Rust "No amount of money can get rid of it"
